It can be hard for many to admit they don't know, they don't have the answer and some if told to ask God would roll their eyes and say whatever but often God is the only one with the answers

Excellent read, as always. I believe that one of the best things we can say to others who are struggling - yes, even when we are a person of faith - is “I don’t know.” I don’t know why bad things happen to good people - but they do. I don’t know why you are suffering more than others seem to. I don’t know why sometimes bad guys seem to finish first. I DON’T KNOW. Because we are to “trust not in our own understanding” and leave that part to God.

"I don't know" is a very good answer. I've used it often. Generally I add, "And I know this is hard. If you'll have me I'll walk with you through this til we get to the other side of it."

Strange that people who believe in resurrected life and have scripture that speaks of walking on water and feeing 5,000 with a few loaves and fishes demand certainty in exchange for fidelity to faith.

Sorry about that accidental post—to paraphrase Jim Finley, God protects us from nothing even as God sustains us in all things….and if we are grounded in absolute love we are able to share that love with others. Please Google Jim for the exact quote! I am not awake yet. ☹️
