Looking forward to your new book. Preordered a week ago. Today’s post on waiting had great scripture supporting it. We need to understand that GOD yearns for us to seek HIS path for it is the life of abundance and joy.
Jake, thank you for the fuller meaning of waiting and what it involves in this context. Our American drive for achievement needs to be throttled and rejected for contemplation and abiding in deeper relationship.
Thanks for this, it took me a while to get through it as I kept zoning out tis morning, not a nice way to be, but I was here and I do my best to get trough the post
Your reflection on waiting is so perfectly timed with Advent (I am not surprised!). Thank you for teaching me Rosa's concept, that certainly rings true for my own life. And another reason why the spiritual life is so counter-cultural to our society that is driven by productivity.
And speaking of not having to wait much longer - I am so excited for your rapidly approaching book launch day! Congratulations. Looking forward to getting my copy and I'll make sure I share about it on social media.
Thanks, Christine! Rosa's work has been very helpful to me. And I hope you'll share your thoughts about the book with me once you're able to dig in. I really appreciate your help getting the word out about it.
I love the tuning fork analogy! I've felt that in people I've met. It's a oneness and a bonding without intention.
(Can't wait for your new book to arrive!)
Thanks, Nancy! Hartmut Rosa's thought has been very helpful to me.
Thank you, Bishop Jake. There's not much that's more counter-cultural than Advent, and this is good food for thought to start me on my way.
Thanks, Susan! Advent blessings my counter-cultural friend!
It is such a blessing to serve God. God makes all things possible. God s peace Jake
Amen
Thank you Jake for your podcast. It is a blessing to read daily. God's peace.
And also with you Kathy

Thanks Charlie. And we certainly could use a profound shift of focus
