What idea, image, story, or passage grabbed your attention or captured your imagination? How does it connect with or differ from your experience with loss and sorrow?
I said that, through God, we experience the resurrection in the depths of our sorrow. Recall an experience of grief. How did God respond to you in the midst of your grief?
We also experience the power of the resurrection in our compassion for those in mourning. Talk about a time that you sat with someone else in his or her grief. What did you learn about God’s love and how did it affect your life?
Has someone else’s compassion for you been a source of healing for you? Share that experience.
