This week’s episode examines the sources of meaning in our life. It’s the third in a series of talks based A Full-Hearted Life that I gave at the Clergy Conference of the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa.
Reflection Questions
1. Meditate on this passage. “So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart” (Psalm 90:12). How does counting your days—reflecting on your own mortality—affect you? What insights does this reflection give you about what is and is not important in your life? What would it mean to you to spend the time you have well?
2. Have you ever felt like what you were doing is fruitless or pointless? How did that affect your motivation and your sense of worth? How did you seek a sense of meaning?
